No More Sitting On The Sidelines!

“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you’re right.” —Henry Ford

How often throughout a day do you find yourself muttering, or thinking, negative thoughts about yourself? Or your abilities? How often do those thoughts lead to giving up on a project? A career? A relationship? A health goal?

“Why did I ever think I could do this? I have no willpower!” “I can’t concentrate for the life of me - why would I think I could accomplish XYZ?” “I’ll never be able to … because I’m not smart enough, pretty enough, skinny enough, patient enough, committed enough, wealthy enough, etc, etc, etc”

We have this tendency to focus only on our weaknesses, our limitations, our disorders, or the diagnoses we’re given… And yes, sometimes there are things that truly do make certain goals more difficult.

BUT… not impossible.

And…

What about your strengths?! What about the things that make you YOU, that only YOU can do, that only YOU can make a difference in someone else’s life with? What about those gifts, talents, skills that, when graced with their presence, time doesn’t exist? You’re in the flow and feeling aligned with all that is good in your life?

What about those remarkable parts of you that separate you from everyone else? That make you stronger, braver, more resilient? That make you more compassionate, more patient, more …. anything?! What do you have that makes you MORE?

So get your week off to a great start, here’s your first challenge: Write down 5 strengths of yours. Notice them. Honor them. And find a way to live into them and use them everyday. What will change about your life when you live into the things that make you remarkable every single day?
